I did not mean to make it sound as if I do not like young people that have kids young or anything; I just wanted to know why people do it. It makes sense that you want to be young enough to play with your kids and not get tiered, but some people have kids at like 14 15 years old and I do not get why they would choose to have a kid so young. I know that sometimes they do not choose and that they keep the baby because of religious reasons or whatever but when you choose it that seems weird to me. I want to stay young as long as I can and not have to worry about taking care of someone else, especially a young kid that would mean the world to me if I had them and I would be hart broken if I did anything to heart that person. I really think that those who have kids young or not are the bravest people out their because they let themselves love, and they trust themselves enough to take on the responsibility of taking car of something so fragile. I am sorry if I offended anyone.

I got pregnant with my daughter at 19. I wanted to be pregnant. We were trying (hubby was 28).

Thinking back on it, you bet I wish we had waited. It changed our relationship sooner than I wished it had, I really wished we had spent more 'alone' time together before baby. Plus, now my future has such a different outcome than it might have had before.

But at the same time, going through my experience of pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum has helped me to realize my dream in life (aside from being a mom) and that's to help other mothers through the transition (in being a labor coach, and maybe in the future a prenatal class teacher and breastfeeding counsellor)

Most people who have children young are happy with the outcomes, despite their claims that if they could do it over again they would wait till they were older.

It depends on how young you are talking about. I know alot of people ( kids really) that had sex and got pregnant. Most of them were never taught properly. Some have other problems and feel unloved they think that having a baby will give them someone who will always love them. Some of them just want to be grown up.
I am almost 27. I have 4 kids( they are 8,5,2 and 11 months). I got pregnant with my oldest when i was 17 ( had her at 18). I have NEVER regretted it.

define young? i had my son at 19 and still trying for my 2nd (im 22) no regrets i know i wont either. my husband and i knew we always wanted to have children so we decided to have them young for a few reasons, 1) i thought it was pointless to build a career first knowing i wanted to be a stay at home mum atleast till the kids are in school, where I will then build my career afterwards
and my husband earns good money for my to do that so I'm lucky i had choices to do so. 2)by the time they leave the nest (or are responsible enough to be alone) I'll be in my late thirties early 40's still "young" enough to go out have a good time, travel, without the impending health problem we all face as we age.

We made that decision based on our commitment, veiws on life, love and marriage and all our pregnancies have been planned (I've had miscarriages) so now we have a gorgeous little boy, are financially secure and happy... no regrets!

Me & my husband wanted kids young..we got married fresh out of high school, we had our first 1 within the 1st year of marriage, 2 yrs & 4 months later had our 2nd, n we tried 1 more time 6 yrs & 9 days hopefully to have a girl, but we had another boy, which all in all ended up being good too..the 1st 2 grew up 2gether,went to school 2gether, n now r going on sum dates 2gether. As for the 3rd son, he's growing up alil bit more by himself then the others so we tend to spoil him alil more..but they all get along pretty good..& we as their parents are able to keep up with them, as in water skiing, riding 4wheelers, attenting ball practices, going to their go-cart races, even going to the water parks, & the big parks like walt disney world..we have really ejoyed our kids as they have grown up..they now r 16,14, & 8..& we don't regret 1 minute of our decision way back then..Both of our parents were older when they had us & we didn't get to explore doing different things like we do now with our kids..""These are some of the best days of our lives!!""

I want to have kids while I am still young so that I can energy to play with them. Not get tired too easily if I am older. This is one reason I have my kids young. And I do never regret having kids.

Were you: The older kid or younger kid? Younger. Skipped ahead or held back a grade? My birthday is late in the year so naturally I'm younger. What was your GPA? 4.0 Did you play sports? If so were you good? HS Cheer. Yes (: What did you like or dislike about being the older/younger kid? Everyone was driving first & I wasn't 18 at the summer of when I graduated!

There's a difference in wanting children at a young age, like me, and actually going out there "making" them. It's just the thought of knowing that someone will love you unconditionally. Children do love parents (in most circumstances) and allow them to continually come into their lives regardless of what they've done to them. Most teens think of children as that boyfriend that they just can't find.
