They're only a Christian so they don't have to go to hell.
If there were no consequences for their actions, they'd be the worst of the sinners.

I'm talking of the fundie Christians, not the gays.

Religious christians are more apt to fall into the "hate" categories than true Christians as true Christians are those who know the color of their own sin as God sees it and that they are not worthy of the death of Christ and the shedding of his blood for them, but he did it anyway and they accepted it as their atonement and saw the filth of their sins cast as far as the east is from the west and then their spirits turned white as snow. And it those that will love the sinner and still not bow down to the sin or even accept it or tolerate it or be respectful of it, but they will treat the person as a fellow human being. Unfortunately media hype, which is just that a lot of hype and no truth, will always only choose the religious christians and never the ones who are working in the worst of conditions to meet the needs of those who want free of the sins that are destroying their lives, their families and their souls. I"ve lived in the trenches and by the grace of God, I've been set free and now work to help others see that there is a peace that passeth understanding and comes from the Holy Spirit within, not from sexual acts, drugs, etc., but from Jesus Christ alone. It's not always easy to love and work next to the religious christians and to listen to their pious ways, but I do and I pray for them too, because like Jesus had to contend with the Pharisees and Sadducees, he knew they would be the last to see him for who he really was, sometimes the most religious are the ones to see their sins as being the ugliest.

It's not that they (the true ones at least) really hate them. It's more that they believe strongly one way, and that they care about them. Most of the backing behind it is to keep people out of hell, which is where it says that many of these people will go. Christians just don't want to see these people in hell, and so they try to get them to change. But for a Christian, it should be more about living an exemplary, loving life because that actually draws people a lot more than beating them over the head with theology. Although, it is necessary to speak out sometimes.

Jesus loves you even if you are gay, don't let anyone tell you different Ok...

Some people (even Christians Judge) I wouldn't want to think they hate, but I guess some probably do. They is one reason Jesus Died on the cross, we are weak, he is strong, He is the Light, when we are in darkness,

Now the bible does warn that we are to be very careful about the anti christ, that mean anyone that don't believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God.

I can help you with the bible verses to back up anything you want to know, it might take me a few minutes to find the bible verses..

I want you to know something, Even through gay relationship are wrong in the bible,

So is un married sex,
adultery,
Liars
stealing
blaspheming
Murder
raping

So if your gay and you want to love the Lord Jesus Christ, don't let the judgmental christian stop you...

We have a gay woman in our church that know one said anything about her being gay, and she the one that told the church, we prayed with here accepted her, and we even got her baptized in Jesus name and month later she left her gay lover and a year later lives with a man...

See a man hurt her long ago really bad, and she put it in her head and heart to never let another man hurt her that way, and she thought loving another woman would protected her, but she hurt when they fought just like with a man.

I don't hate anyone. I may not like what some people do, as I am human. And I'm sure there are those who don't like what I do, because their human. God hates sin, so therefore I hate sin, even my own. None of us are perfect, all of us are sinners. But I love mankind in general, so much that I want all people in heaven. God wants that too. There is no greater love than that. Jesus especially wants that, so much, He suffered and died horribly, to accomplish it. The hell taught today by the majority, is Satans second biggest lie. Jesus is victorious! And God is not a monster.

I guess the same reason non-christians hate gay people. Why is it that christians are always put under the microscope. we are only human as well. I actually have a couple gay friends. Do i think they are wrong? Yes. Do I tell them? Yes. Do they get pissed? No. They understand that I do not hate them, nor do a dislike them, nor do I sit and try to convert them. i simply hang out with them.

I think that you should widen your scope a little bit and see that there are non-christians that act the exact same way.

Thou shalt not lie with mankind. Because of this, it is not condoned by Christianity necessarily. It is a sin, but has been taking to the extreme. Suppose someone is really obese and attends mass. Assuming this person has no medical condition, he is a glutton. Sinful, but no one is going to refuse to allow him into the church.

Someone who is openly gay, however, has a much stronger chance of facing an intolerant attitude.

My theory is that religion is not only the basis in this attitude, it is our very biological code. Gays might wierd us out, but it could be because our code says to procreate and preserve the species. Gays choose not to do so. There is nothing preventing them from having children, but it is a preference.

Also, not all gays are gays by choice. Homosexuals can have entirely different physiology, forcing them to like the opposite sex. Hating them is like hating someone born blind (Not juxtaposing homosexuality and birth defects).

I think that by "hate" you are referring to the tendency to generalize, lump together, and rebuff these individuals and their views on every occasion. This is more a stern disagreement than hate and If you take a close look at the culture and the responses on these web pages you will see that such behavior toward Christian views is common place and accepted. It is only when a sarcastic or cynical eye is cast upon a liberal sacred cow that suddenly we are hate mongers.

Christians don't hate but see gays and evolutionists as confused lost souls.

Not all hate, as your question said. But I do find that sometimes people think that Love means to let someone roll all over you and never have an opinion or emotion other than puppy-dog eyes at God.

We can strongly disagree and I will still love you because God told me to. We can fight over what theology is best all day, but I still have to love you, because God said so. So while I may vehemently argue against what you say, I'll be there if you need to hear of God's Love.
