Any relationship can work if there is caring, committment and trust between both involved parties. Distance sometimes makes it more exciting. At least you don't become bored with each other. Every moment of being together is treasured and savoured. Even ordinary communication which is usually taken for granted is special. I had a two year long distance relationship when I was young, He was away in college. We broke up eventually but it was not anything to do with our long distance relationship.

Yes, they can but they are very challenging. I couldn't tell you statistically how many work and how many don't, but I do know the outcome depends on you and the other person. Communication between both people involved is vital and very important because the distance between both people and time apart will affect the relationship. There are two sayings and both are true depending upon the circumstances.

Distance will make the heart grow fonder

Out of sight, out of mind.

The outcome is determined by both people involved. It is not an easy choice, but it is still a choice. Good luck if that is what you are pursuing.

I believe that any relationship can work if both people are willing to try at it... if it is something both parties want and believe in more than anything. There are always factors within any relationship, but it starts and ends with whether or not YOU think it can work.

yes actually, and for a couple of my friends.......some actually got married in the end.....mine though was a different issue........we were ok, but things got in the way and we couldn't deal with it.....it had nothing to do with the distance though.....we're still friends till now, and appreciate each others calls and emails.
Long distance relationships do work when you put the effort to make it work
Good luck

Yes, I believe that they can. No I have never had one, but I believe that I could have, if I had chosen to. But you would have to be careful and know the person well or if you don't then just be cautious and not shocked if they were not who you thought they were.

I've never been in one...I don't think it would work for me. I'm a bit of a loner, but I need more attention than that!
