Usually it is people with bad backs who sleep on the floor to get the firm support they need.
It is not bad or good, and if it works for you, do it.

I have a beautiful bed & a very expensive custom made mattress, but my favorite thing to do is grab my quilt & put it on the floor in fromt of my fireplace & sleep there all night long. In the summer I grab my quilt & sleep in front of the TV, on the floor, in my family room.
My best sleep comes from sleeping on the floor!
[my husband doesn't seem to mind either]
By the way... I do have a bad back & when sleeping on the floor, I wake up with so much energy.
So I guess... For Me It's Good!

its one of those things that needs to be taken on a case by case basis. If you have back problems, than they say sleeping on the floor can be GOOD for you because you might stay level the whole night. On the other hand, it could hurt you if you are the sensative sleeper type. If it doesn't bother you, then keep on doing it. If it starts to bother you, then stop. Don't forget the pillow.

I don't think that it is bad, the only health concern I could see is if lying on the floor hurts your back or neck, and also if you have mold in your carpet, or under wood/tile, etc. but you should be okay!

Its not bad, if you are healthy enough to do that, its great. It can't harm you, unless you are sleeping on a filthy carpet or something.
