Caffeine actually dehydrates you and overtaxes your adrenal glands.

The high-fructose corn syrup is high in calories and carbs. It has no nutritional value and it's the part that rots your teeth, not the caffeine. Because it has no fiber or other nutrients, it can make your glucose levels rise too quickly and can lead to insulin resistance or diabetes, or hypoglycemia.

Artificial sweeteners can give you migraines, restless leg syndrome, and insomnia.

It's high in sodium, which can make you retain water (edema) but it's sort of like an allergic reaction - it's not water that your body actually uses for hydration. It basically dilutes the toxicity in your body.

It's high in phosphorus, which leaches the calcium from your body. Bone loss.

Plus it's acidity can alter your body's pH balance. Overly acidic pH can cause all sorts of illness.

It's just plain not good for you.

If you read the label at the back you will see all soda is is sugar. And sugar=empty calories and carbs. Your body gets nothing nutrionally from drinking soda. If you like sweet drinks, you'd be better off drinking juice.

Plus, if you stop drinking soda you will lose weight. When I quit I did. I've been soda free for about 2 years now and I don't miss it one bit.

Soda is bad because it quenches your thirst better than water, and that makes people prefer it to water, and it contains sugar which builds up in your body and kinda fogs the brain from functioning at its best (but only temporarily).

A soda from time to time is not bad for you. Don't take it before you do anything that requires quick mental reflexes, though.

yes it is my sister drank mountain dew like it was water up until last week. she couldn't eat or drink for a week she was in so much pain we had to take her to the hostital, where they admitted her for 3 days. they said she got a UTI from drinking to much soda and it caused her left kidney to swell up 3 times its normal size, they said if she didn't come in she would have died, now she won't even look at a soda.

It's nothing but empty calories(high-fructose corn syrup) and caffiene. Bad for your teeth and your waistline. It's ok yo have it once in a while for a treat, but don't drink it every day.

If you don't know WHY it's bad for you, then how would you know if it was really bad for you or not?

You just assume it's bad for you? Is that how you roll?

I bet you think the internet is bad for you too? How about America? Is that bad too? Nice try, Commie.
