You can get hair extensions, but you should know that it can damage hair.

If not hair extensions then make sure you konw it is going to take long to get beautiful flowing hair. It depends quite a lot on the pace of your hair growth and even your diet.

In the longterm, you can try applying virgin olive oil and conditioner after shampooing or even before you shampoo hair (must keep for atleast an hour).

It may not be so obvious, but will soon see that your hair will be smoother/grow faster and even be of better quality.

Oh my gosh have my fellow black sistas lost hope? U can too grow long hair like other races but it takes time. Our structure is differently made (can be ribbon-like) as comapared to the flat structured scalps of white women. Our scalps dry out so what do you have to do my nubian goddesses? Moisturize! White women hair is naturally lubricated because their sebaceous glands distribute all the way to the ends. Since our hair is more dense and coarse, our sebum does not reach that far so help it out! Get a wave noveau, i know i know geri curls r so eighties right? but its not like you think new formulas make them less greasy and slippery like hell it made my hair grow like wild fire because i was nourishing it from the roots! Also try wildgrowth stimulating hair oil it smells like peppermint, rather strong, but jsut put it on at night to avoid ppl grimacing at smell during day grows yr hair fast! Of course like all treatments it takes time but if you use it ritually yr hair can be as long as mine it goes to my back! And i am full black well some indian but thats not counted here, I love being black i jsut hate how some of you beauties jsut give up and turn to braids and weaves. Don't u know that both can severly damage the hair follicle and can cause breakage right when yr hair has the intention to grow? Not to mention if it is too tight at the temples the hairline can be pulled back too tightly and be uncomfortable. The hair needs moisture and nature. Keep it how god intended embrace the way he made u but help nature out a little bit more by enhancing yr own natural beauty not the faux trend of extensions! kiss kiss

Girl sometimes our hair just won't grow past a certain length. Either get a really cute style that suits you now, or sew it in baby!!! Sew in weaves will look more natural(if done right), last longer, and you can style that instead of damaging your hair, thus allowing your hair to grow! Now that's what I call having your cake and eating it too!!! lol!

I have been growing my hair for about 3 yrs now and when it reached shoulder length I bleached it (big mistake ) That was about a year ago , I had to cut it cause it began to fall out.My hair grew back in about six months it's in my back now. What I do is get my hair cornrowed and use a hair oil called super sure gro ( african gold) and another product called olive and clove oil therapy by organics. When you get the extensions make sure you oil your scalp with the hair oil.I also use doo gro products their shampoo is great.I hope this helps

Your hair's not gonna grow that long so quickly. You can wear a wig or braid your hair. Here's a suggestion where your hair can almost look real: cream it, and have the hairdresser add in extensions - it will achieve the look you want.

Talk to a stylist who specializes in African-American hair. I assume you are meaning hair similar to Queen Latifa's? That's the only hair that I can think of that is long, straight and seems more Caucasion than African-American.

not to bragg but I am black female who has long hair what I do to get my hair to grow and stay healthy is dont use any chemicals such as perms, texturizers, color, highlights etc.. just go with the old fashions press and curl and wear weave as much as possiable this will help your hair grow our hair breaks off easily too much heat, wind, sun etc...so by keeping it in weave it protects it and it grows but you do have air your out every once in while
