Sure, but what is the big deal?
Why do we need whole articles about it?
Strange.

There is a difference between sexual and romantic interest, which may be of only one race, but exoticism/objectifying them(which often happens, irregardless of race, just look at the advertising industry, and the media) is where the term racial fetish is appropriate. The article begins by talking about the history of prostitution(even more, the porn industry plays into this), which is very logical when it comes to talking about fetishes. Fetishes are more common than one would think I guess.I could tell you that I was interested in a guy a few years ago, and thought he was intelligent and attractive and everything, (he's a white Englishman) but I was pissed and lost respect for him when I realized how much the interest to him was just about his ethnic fetish.Even though I am not Asian, he has an Asian fetish. That is different from being attracted to people, whether Filipino, Persian, Black, Vietnamese, Indian, Nicaraguan....
