I'm 23. Should I feel guilty about having sex with someone who is underage. They lied about their age and told me they were 21. Why would someone lie about it?

Were they 21, or under 18 if they were under 18 then worry, but if they were 21 andyour 23 deffinatly no big deal but if there is more than 3 or 4 years difference then feel guilty

I don't know why you should feel guilty, since it was an honest mistake due to her having lied to you. She probably lied to be able to brag to her friends that she laid an "older guy." Be very careful about this. Ignorance of the law is no excuse, and neither is "not knowing" the girl was underage.

It all depends on how young they actually are and your moral standings in life. Ifyou are religious, then yes you should feel guilty, if not then you must first decide your standings on things. If you decide that you think it was wrong, then make it a point not to do it again.
They may have lied about it so that they could go back and tell their friends they sleep with an older man. People do this sometimes to make themselves look "bigger and badder". It supposedly helps boost their self esteem.

Maybe they really liked you. And yes you should feel guilty about sleeping with someone underage. Stop seeing her and move on.

They probably said it so you wouldn't think they were too immature for you. But if you really didn't know then you shouldn't feel guilty. As long as you don't sleep with them anymore now that you do know you shouldn't feel bad. But if you do continue the relationship then you run the risk of being charged with statutory rape so whoever it is leave them alone!

No you have no reason to be guilty, you were lied to.

Now if you had any idea that they were underage then that is another question.

Ummm, wouldn't be advertising this if I were you...statutory r*pe is grounds for going to jail. If she lied, she lied. It's done and hopefully over for your sake.
Don't make her mad, just in case. Be nice if you have to, but keep your pants on unless the sound of slammin bar doors appeals to you...think.

I don't think you should feel guilty, you were misled. You really should know a person before you have sex with them.
