Worse than what? We can only compare it to what we know about the earth.
Worse than say the the Jurassic Age? We can only conjecture what it might have been like for the dinosuars. Worse than the industral revolution? Ae we talking about specific sepecies, which would be easier if we knew weather or not they were bacteria, single cell organisms,... Take for an example a water bear a tiny single cell organism. The planet would be any different for it since it can survive temperatures well below and well above what a human can with stand. It can with stand very extreme tempuratures. It could be concidered worse only in the fact that know one would be alive. We can only conjecture possibilities about the future.

dinosaurs went extinct. planet earth kept on going. we came along. earth is not dependent on our existence. if we went, something else might dominate the planet or it could become barren. Mars still exists. If it ever had life of any kind the planet doesn't know the difference. i think the universe as a whole would miss the human race, though i'm thinking on a more poetic level on that one.

I think that the planet would be better off if humans were extinct. The earth was cursed because of mans sins. The planet may not improve without us, but it would stop its steady decline.

OK,,,,,is the planet earth more important then a human being?
I didn't know the planet, feels, senses, has emotions like humans. I understand about taking care of trees and planets and nature but that might go alittle to far... don't you think

The Earth went it's own merry way, long before humans came on the scene, and will do so, long after we are gone. Some other species will rise to take our place, and who knows, do a much better job.

I think planet Earth and all it's creatures (except rats who basically live off our garbage) would be better off if humans were extinct.

Wow, are any of you aware that because of humans, we have created the FIRST ever mass extinction due solely to another species? Wake up you apes, we are killing the earth .

unfortunately at this point it would be worse off; if our nuclear power plants, atom bombs, poisonous metal and gas processing was left unattended by a sudden mass extinction of humanity; our leftover technology would render much of the planet uninhabitable for our animal cousins.

I think the planet would be much better off without us. But we're not going anywhere anytime soon, so, I guess it sucks to be earth.
