I consider myself an "independently spiritual" person. I firmly believe that God loves us all and we already are "worthy" of his love. I don't agree with religions teaching us all that we're bad and unworthy. (12 years of Catholic school for me) He's always there answering our prayers and all we need to do is open up to it. I believe He doesn't care if you call him God, Buddha, Hashem, Mohamed or Joe as long as you live from a place of loving others and doing good. I've read a lot of books based on different religions and philosophies and have settled into what "feels right" to me. I encourage others to do the same.

I follow Vaisnavism which we believe to be the original pure form of Hinduism. Hinduism is not really a religion per se but a general term for the people living in around India.

The Vaisnava scriptures include the Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads, Bhagavad-Gita etc.

The scriptures teach us that we are eternal spiritual souls who wanting to enjoy separately from God were put into this material creation and into material bodies so that we could find out for ourselves.

The soul is an eternal entity which is neither created nor destroyed, but the material body it occupies will be destroyed. After destruction of one material body the soul moves onto another body (reincarnation). The soul can migrate onto any one of 8,400,000 types of species depending on the actions/desires of the soul.

The transmigration (reincarnation) is strictly controlled by God through the law of Karma - simply put the law of action and reaction.

I follow a mix of philosophy. The philosophers Nietzsche, Marx, LeVay, and Sartre have a great deal of influence on how I view the world.

I am agnostic and I follow a humanist life philosophy and although I am not a Buddhist I do admire and sort of incorporate their 5 precepts into my life philosophy.

Much better to follow your own faith. If you believe Jesus, follow Him, trust Him, and believe in Him. That's the only way you can have a good religion and philosophy....and most of all, believe in yourself, love yourself..

I love the teachings of Buddhism and Judaism.

I also love and study the philosophy of Nietzsche and study the words of Confucius.

I find myself to be very spiritual... but despise organized religion.

I have my own way of seeing things. I do feel that what I follow is a Christan-Buddhism I believe in God and Jesus, but I feel that many of the core Buddhist elements. a good book to read is "Buddhism for Beginners". I use my Christan "side" to believe in the lord, and the Buddhist as more a way of life.
