There is really nothing you can do to prevent split ends b/c almost anything can cause split ends like too much combing ,brushing, wind, and sun. But what you can do is make sure you use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and trim your ends every six to eight weeks or so. This will keep your hair growing and healthy. Your blood grows your hair but split ends could stunt growth and cause further damage.

Well, you could get it cut often. But what I would do is first get the already split ends cut off then take care of your hair by: 1) Not blow drying your hair. 2) Dont brush your hair, comb it or use your fingers. 3) Try to shampoo only the roots of your hair, if you're getting split ends then it's dry, shampoo dries it more. And then condition the ends. 4) Dont straighten it often, with a flat iron. 5) Take care of your hair, keep it moisturized by drinking lots of water.

This is everything I do to my hair and I dont have any split ends, atleast I cant find any. But I do tend to get a few every 2 months or so before I go to get my hair trimmed, but they aren't too bad. I hope this helps.

Get a regular cut to remove the split ends is the obvious answer. Also you might want to use a conditioner regularly. Avoid hair drying for long periods of time as for this dries the hair out, and then get damaged when brushing. A good daily vitamin supplement isn't harmful either. I want to say that vitamin e is a good supplement, and you might want to do a general search for that subject on your favorite search engine.

have a trim at least every 4-6 months.... don't forget your conditioner, if your hair is on the brittle/dry side then use a really creamy moisturizing formula... watch your diet too. take vitamin supplements such as B complex and antioxidants....cut the blow-drying! (or lessen it). heat damages the hair no matter what.

Trim your hair every few months and keep it up

If you blow dry, or style your hair with flat irons or curling irons...etc... use a heat protectant for your hair to prevent it from heat damage. Use one you can apply on wet hair before you blow dry, then another one that you can use on dry hair before you style ....it will alleviate any damage to your hair and help with split ends!!!

their is really no way to prevent them completely. Just make sure you use conditioner before brushing hair. plus, letting it air dry will help
