Psychologists often contend that some people are born gay. If we accept that as true, then is it not also true that people can be prone to other behaviours genetically ?

There are many killers that are raised by loving parents. There are also many white collared people raised by crazy parents. I strongly agree with a movie I saw years ago I think it was called "Bad Seed" about a little girl whose grandma killed the family and the little girl started to kill.

The Bible teaches that all people are "genetically prone" to sin. All people are sinful. Sins come in many varieties and ways and we are all expected to go to God for help to throw off our sinful nature and live as new creations in Christ. There are no excuses for any for "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God". That includes alcoholics, brutes, those prone to sexual impurity of all forms, hatemongers, and so on.

People have differing temperaments, and some of that is genetic and some of it isn't. But if someone is born with a nasty personality, that doesn't excuse them from the duty to be kind and generous. It just makes it harder for them. The same thing goes for homosexuals- they might be born with the desire, but that doesn't excuse them from the obligation not to act on it. It just makes things harder for them.

there is no medical proof that ppl are 'born gay'. as far as brutal, mean, thuggish, hateful and all that goes, i think that would depend on the envirement the kid grows up, the way the parents discipline him/her if they even do, social settings, problems they faced in the past, etc. people that are grouches sometimes change into totally enthusiastic ppl when there envirement or situation changes. its not hereditary

I believe in reincarnation. Habits develop over time. How do you explain 2 children, lets say twins, growing up with the exact same values..One becomes a rebel, the other is kindhearted?

I think it has to do with a person's *environment,* not genetics. For example, there are some people who were abused as children and they turn out to be public speakers. I think humans tend to mimic what they see, and it starts early in their childhood, causing them to think a certain way and act a certain way.

it would seem possible but brutal, mean behavior usually comes through ignorant people. the more ignorant they are the more aggressive they become because they're just not that good at reasoning things out.

Some behaviors are instinctive and some are learned. Survival is definitely instinctive, while hatefulness is learned from society.
