Didn't you know that the ones who believe in the trinity say that it ( the trinity ) is a mystery?

The trinity is NOT a bible teaching.
What is the origin of the Trinity doctrine?

The New Encyclopædia Britannica says: “Neither the word Trinity, nor the explicit doctrine as such, appears in the New Testament, nor did Jesus and his followers intend to contradict the Shema in the Old Testament: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord’ (Deut. 6:4). . . . The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies. . . . By the end of the 4th century . . . the doctrine of the Trinity took substantially the form it has maintained ever since.”—(1976), Micropædia, Vol. X, p. 126.

The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.

In The Encyclopedia Americana we read: “Christianity derived from Judaism and Judaism was strictly Unitarian [believing that God is one person]. The road which led from Jerusalem to Nicea was scarcely a straight one. Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”—(1956), Vol. XXVII, p. 294L.

According to the Nouveau Dictionnaire Universel, “The Platonic trinity, itself merely a rearrangement of older trinities dating back to earlier peoples, appears to be the rational philosophic trinity of attributes that gave birth to the three hypostases or divine persons taught by the Christian churches. . . . This Greek philosopher’s [Plato, fourth century B.C.E.] conception of the divine trinity . . . can be found in all the ancient [pagan] religions.”—(Paris, 1865-1870), edited by M. Lachâtre, Vol. 2, p. 1467.

John L. McKenzie, S.J., in his Dictionary of the Bible, says: “The trinity of persons within the unity of nature is defined in terms of ‘person’ and ‘nature’ which are G[ree]k philosophical terms; actually the terms do not appear in the Bible. The trinitarian definitions arose as the result of long controversies in which these terms and others such as ‘essence’ and ‘substance’ were erroneously applied to God by some theologians.”—(New York, 1965), p. 899.

Overshadowed Mary. What does this mean, overshodowed? This is a mystery of faith and faith is necessary when something just does not make any logical sense, rational sense or empirical sense. Just make it up and have faith.
Another reason that the trinity is doctrine and all else is he racy could be that Emperor Constantine saw that it was convenient to have a Christian Trinity similar to trinitarian deities in Indo-European cultures and in Egypt. It garnered greater acceptance by the masses. Its adoption also consolidated power and quelled Christian bickering for a while.
Overshadowed?

They probably belongs to one of these cults that deny the trinity. But

YES, it is in the Old Testament. Genesis 1:1: In the beginning, Elohim created. That is not Yahweh, Elohim is a plurality, meaning more than one. Just like Cherubim and Seraphim, angels. Anything that ends in “im” is more than one.

Now, we know that God the Father was there, and you believed that. But in Genesis 1:2, the Holy Spirit moved upon the face of the waters. Then in Proverbs 30:4, it says, who hath created all the ends of the earth? Who hath created the world? What is God's name and what is His Son's name? That’s not the New Testament, that’s the Hebrew Scriptures. In Isaiah 9:6-7, it says, Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given. And what is the name of this son? The "Mighty God" in the next verse.

Because the "Holy Ghost" is God's Power...

Father=God himself
Son= God's Begotten/Messenger of God's Word
Holy Ghost= God's Power

All combined=God Head

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Father

The Holy Spirit is God's Spirit and they are one and the same. Jesus was born on this earth as God in the flesh. They are three distinct beings, but all considered part of God. What makes this interesting is: No matter how confusing this is, it really makes sense, you just have to have faith to believe it. This is what God wants is for you to believe in Him, Jesus the Son and His Holy Spirit and their different powers as one and the same, but all part of God. That's why we call them: "God the Father", "God the Son" and "God the Holy Spirit". I hope this is making sense to you. If you attend church somewhere, get with your pastor or one of the teacher's there they can answer with more deeper information than what I could give. Take care!

The Holy Spirit and the Father are one. When Jesus was baptized, A voice in the Heavens said, "This is my beloved Son in whom I AM well pleased." and the Spirit of God descended on him like the form of a Dove. Then the Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted of the Devil....

Father, Son & Holy Spirit are one.

Pertaining to the Father

Romans 8 (New International Version)
15For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship.[a] And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." 16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.

2 Corinthians 6:18 (New International Version)
"I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."

Galatians 3 NIV
26You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Pertaining to Mary and the conception of Christ

Matthew 1 NIV
20But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

Luke 1 NIV
34"How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"
35The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.

The father is called the father because the father created the universe, he is the father of Creation and all in it.
