I've never owned a kitty until now, a 2 month old kitten, so I don't know....

1) Whenever I call his name, he comes. I thought only dogs did this?

2) Whenever I rub his belly, he wraps his paws around my arm and starts biting me.

3) Whenever he's sitting on my lap, he'll start licking my belly while purring loudly.

4) Whenever I'm eating, he'll sit at my feet and beg for some.

5) He'll jump my Chihuahua and they have a play fight. I thought dogs and cats didnt get along.

6) He doesn't drink water. The water level of the bowl never changes. But he pees a lot. Could it be just from the canned moist foods?

7) He stalks bugs then catches em with his paws, then tries to eat them.

Absolutely 100% normal. You have a good active kitten.

My favorite cat will come to me if I call him by name.

Male cats get sexually excited when you rub their belly. They respond by grabbing you and kicking you with their back feet. This is a normal behavior, especially in male cats.

A cat licking you is the ultimate sign of affection.

Kitties like to eat what you eat too! :^)

Depends upon the dog and cat, but the Chihuahua is small so you kittie may not view it has a threat, but a playmate.

Is he drinking out of the toilet or somewhere else?

Oh, I have two of the best bug getters in the world! If you had another cat that came up to him after he had caught a bug, he would probably growl at the other cat! Catching bugs is normal behavior.

Hope this helps. Enjoy your kitty. They make wonderful companions!

1) Whenever I call his name, he comes. I thought only dogs did this?

I have one that does, and one that gives me the "what me come just cause you want me" look.

2) Whenever I rub his belly, he wraps his paws around my arm and starts biting me.

Yes..the biting is playful and usually not too painful. If it hurts, stop moving and the cat will let go.

3) Whenever he's sitting on my lap, he'll start licking my belly while purring loudly.

Yes, your kitty loves you.

4) Whenever I'm eating, he'll sit at my feet and beg for some.

Just don't feed him.

5) He'll jump my Chihuahua and they have a play fight. I thought dogs and cats didnt get along.

If they are raised together they can be great chums. I have two doxies and the dogs and the cats all wrestle and chase each other. I just love watching it. I've also watched my kitten groom the younger doxie and sometimes they sleep curled up.

6) He doesn't drink water. The water level of the bowl never changes. But he pees a lot. Could it be just from the canned moist foods?

He's probably drinking out of the toilet or dog bowl. I don't bother to fill the cat bowl anymore because my two cats do both.

7) He stalks bugs then catches em with his paws, then tries to eat them.

Yep. Kitties are hunters and this is great fun for them.

Sounds like you have a really fun cat. Congrats!

So cute! He's completely normal.
1 If you talk to cats they will talk back. He responds to love and to the call for food.
2 does he kick your hand too while he's biting?
3 looking for a nipple. You're mommy!
4 Don't let him jump on your plate.
5 Sometimes they get along well. If you have a group of cats, usually the alpha will bond with the dog.
6 Bet he's drinking from teh toilet. Make sure he has plenty of fresh water.
7 Hunter in training. Good kitty!

All of that is normal in a kitten, as well as a full grown cat, pretty soon you'll notice that he is eating grass, which will be normal also, the grass calms thier stomach down when they are sick, as for the water, he's getting enough, even tho the bowl may look the same , he's drinking it, so nothing to worry about there, as for the dog, be glad they get along and play with each other, animals do have a tendency to get jealous too, but apparnetly your dog and kitten have become friends, which is very good.

As for him begging for food when you eat, he learned that from his friend the dog LOL, and the reason he licks your belly, and purrs, is because your skin is salty, and he's contented to be where he is, so all in all the Kittens normal, the dog's normal, so don't worry, and be happy! :)

1. Both of my cats respond to their name being called.
2. Most cats don't like their belly rubbed and will do exactly what your kitten is doing. Some cats love their belly rubbed, Ruby my cat loves it.
3. That's a comfort thing and means they love you
4. Cats are curious and of course they all chance their luck for a treat!
5. Some cats and dogs do get along fine, that's a myth that they don't.
6. He will be drinking water somewhere, make sure your toilet seat is down.
7. Cats will chase anything moving, they love flies and bugs, and yes they do like to eat them...gross!!!

All perfectly, adorably normal kitten behavior.

He should be drinking more water, though. He's likely getting enough from the canned food, but always make sure he has clean water available. You might even try moving it AWAY from his food dish. Some cats don't like to have their water near their food -- don't know why, but it's true.

Cats and dogs absolutely CAN get along if raised together. And if he's coming when called at just 2 months old -- you got yourself a SMART little kitty!

All excellent questions, btw, for a first-timer. ENJOY!!!!

Shell also hide in are fake plants around the house and if you go by shell jump out and attack you!She is spoiled that i cant say no to her so we got her a cat to play with...yes shes that spoiled she has her own cat!We luv em to death though-and wouldn't know what to do without them!Well i guess these things they do are just a mind grabbing trick to make us luv them-even though they don't need to......but they are sooo sweet and totally worth ever-thing-well almost everything...........http://www.sus.org/ace/15886

ok I have had cats for most of my life so here it goes.

1) yes they will respond to thier name, as well as yelling 'kitty kitty kitty' why i do not know

2) my cats do this all the time they are playing, that's how they would kill something in the wild by grabbing on to it and kicking and biting

3) sure each cat has their own personality, Mine will lick my head while I'm sleeping.

4) some will, try not to feed him/her people food, not good for cats.

5) actually some cats and dogs if raised properly will get along just fine, while others will not.

6) Trust me he/she is drinking water, there isn't enough moisture in the wet food. I would consider going to dry food, wet food cat cause the cat to have week teeth, Like giving a child twinkies. I would suggest foods like Science Diet, Iams, or Nutro. Buy based on the age of the cat.

7)Perfectly normal, commonly referred to as 'mousing skills'

Well, all these things sound pretty normal to me! All my cats do these things, and have since they were kittens. The water thing is probably nothing to worry about. He drinks, just not a lot at a time. Moist foods help this, also. Sounds like you have a normal, healthy kitty.

1) Of course cats learn their names!
2) He's playing. If you don't want him to bite you, you'll have to train him.
3) He probably isn't weaned yet and thinks he's nursing. He'll grow out of it.
4) Again, you can train him not to do this.
5) Small dogs and cats generally will get along fine if they're used to each other.
6) I don't know about this one. Take him to the vet if he starts looking dehydrated.
7) Normal.
