Well, it's 10:15 PM right now Eastern Daylight Savings Time, so it's a bit late for dinner, but next time you might try this:
While you're frying your meat patties, fry some onion slices with it. Fry some bacon real crisp first and keep it warm while you fry the meat patties in the bacon drippings (note: this IS real high in fat, but also in taste). When the meat is done, put a tablespoonful of sliced mushrooms in with the rest and lay a slice of swiss cheese on the meat patty. Let the 'shrooms cook about a minute to a minute and a half, then quickly scoop the onions and mushrooms out and lay 'em on half a warmed bun. Put the bacon on top of that and lay the meat patty with the swiss cheese on top of that. You might also spread about a teaspoonful of mayo on the other half of the bun - it'll add just a little more moisture. Try serving burgers made that way with some seasoned fries to your family/friends and see how that goes over. If you'd like just a little more flavor on the burgers, sprinkle a few drops of Worcestershire sauce on the bottom half of the bun before you put the rest of the stuff on there.

Add monteray steak seasoning and lipton onion soup mix to the
ground beef. Just add a little of each seasoning! It's good, but better on the grill!

You can add croutons dipped in milk and try to use chicken soup powder instead of salt and a bit of Bouvril. Also you could ad a crushed garlic and some fine cut onion.

This is the ULTIMATE tip I tried myself, thanks to commercials, and it speaks the TRUTH!
Try Leah & Perrins worchestire sauce. Make sure it says BURGER BOOSTER, because they have one for poultry as well.
You mix it up in the ground beef before cooking the burgers. The crowd WILL go wild!
;-)
It'll make them just as good as fast food burgers, or close to it!
