You cannot force compassion in this or any other nation by one sovereign nation forcing it's will on another - The United States of America of all places.
Mexico has repeately told it's people the US are stupid and they can have our country for them just by the taking. They have more consulates here than any other nation for their cause. I say keep thinking that way, you don't know who you are talking too.
WE WILL NOT SUSPEND OUR CONSTITUTION TO ACCOMODATE ANY OTHER COUNTRY TO ACCOST US GEOGRAPHICALLY, FINANACIALLY, EMOTIONALLY, POLITICALLY OR ANY OTHER REASON.
You know why the debate is so hot in Congress? Because 17% of the population is being represented as 97%, and that is WRONG no matter how bad off the rich country of Mexico is. That is why people are standing up for our American citizenship rights and our leaders are not representing us - they represent Mexico.
Leave the borde where it is, next time Mexico has a presidential election, don'y have a 22% turnout.
I'm sorry, sir. I will not set aside the laws of our soveriegn nation for those of Mexico.

its not racist ,and if we keep helping over and over we are supporting corruption ! mexico is not a poor country! , but because of corruption they refuse to take care of their people and they encourage their very poor to leave . why should we have to support corruption ? helping is one thing but being ran over is something that is different when will it stop ? what about the people still stuck there ? their only care for them is that the border is easy to cross don't you find that sick i think mexico should be brought up on charges for doing this to their people and us now doesn't that make sense ,and these people show only patriotism for mexico and the ignorance level is outstanding . no we need to put our foot down to this or it will continue to be a problem in the future ,and i see no need in rewarding them for law breaking nor rewarding mexico's corruption.

It has nothing to do with race, and no, I don't assume Mexicans are illegal. In fact I assumed they all WEREN'T illegal when I met one until I saw the statistics for the town I live in. (Los Angeles.)
We pay for their education and services and it degrades education and services for our own children and elderly. We have a right to say how many people we will subsidize and let live here. It is our country. It is not racism, it is ownership.

It's a falsehood to believe that Mexicans are the only illegals. There are plenty that have let their visas expire and fail to go to thier home countries. I am not racist to say that they all need to be arrested, deported and fined. They are illegal, period!!!!!

You need to direct this message to El Presidente Fox. Not us Americans who are tired of taking on every life form that travels into our country unannounced and uninvited. You talk about compassion. I would much rather be taking care of the homeless and hungry legal citizens of this country than those who have been so brazen to break into this country by not being documented and crossing at a legal checkpoint. No compassion here for law breaking, border jumping felons...or their illegal offspring who our government has educated for free..oh and health care, too, for them -FREE. I have to work hard to earn enough to pay for my health insurance which doesn't cover much. It isn't fair to those of us who are legal.
We are not racists. More like, proud Americans who want to keep our country intact for our children and grandchildren.
