This is a tough choice. Although I was expecting hair-raising tales of blood and gore, the description of a demonic, selfish world sounds very much the way Fundamentalist would put it.
By the way, mini, I only said "Fundamentalists especially" because I'm interested in how they view things; of course, I'll accept answers from anybody. I didn't say "fundamentalists only", so you haven't bugged me. I just wanted to understand why some people are fixated on converting everyone.

A pagan one. :-P Pagan religions were the majority until Christianity came along.

There would proably be a lot less wars throughout history. I mean, who started the crusades?
Muslims have every right to be upset with us about the way that we live our lives. They see us as people who get what we want. When we don't get what we want, we kill people for it. That is what happened a long time ago and that is what continues to happen now. You can't expect a group of people to just forget about what has happened to thier ancestors and forgive the people that did it to them.
I think that the question would be better stated if it asked what the world would be like if there were not radical christians, because they are the ones that cause most of the problems.
I'm better than you, and when you realize why I am better than you and change YOUR ways, then you will be good like me. Typical view of a radical christian.

I think that's an unanswerable question, but I could make several good guesses. I think it would be a world where slaves still suffered under the lash in every part of the world (it was Christians who led the fight to abolish that). I think there would be no education except for the rich (It was Christians who invented the idea of free public education, so that children could be taught to read the Bible). I think we would have little or no science (It was Christians who invented that process, too). I think our music and art would be greatly impoverished. I think we would have had a much harsher life today if there had been no Christians to argue that all humans are equal before God and to love Him enough to want to understand the creation He made. Those two devoutly Christian impulses have been responsible for most good things we have today.

Some other religion would have been embraced by those people and made to grow just as big...
some of the bad things done in the name of christian god might not have happend.... might have just been in the name of some other god...
as many people probly wouldn't have gone over to the colonize the US..... and it might not be as free a place as it is today... the US's many freedoms come from tring to get away from opresive roman cathlics..... but then again it might have been opresive something elses that cuased it....
It's really hard to say how things would be diffrent
They could be little diffrance or a lot.... there are way way way to many factors

I think that Christianity as a whole makes the world a much better place. I think that most religions improve the world but fundamentalism pollutes the message of any given religion. It seems that themes of peace and tolerance are common throughout many of the world's religions. Without Christianity many more people in the world would be starving, homeless, hungry, etc.

I'm not a fundamentalist - I just feel like answering to bug you!
The world will be the same without any religion. Denomination are just tags or classification it does not change the innate evil in the hearts of men. Christians ll behave the same no matter what you call them.

Without The 10 Commandments, the Bible, and churches there would be a whole lot more crime (not that there isn't too much already). That also goes for people who believe in Heaven and hell--if they didn't, they might be really creating chaos. This world has enough problems, it's good that there are some religious people who try their best to be good people.

Well lets consider just one Christian principle
You shall not steal. Well if the whole world adopted this principle we would not need locks, IRS, banks, we would save tons of money fighting crime.
However if you would rather just have everyone do as they please, no rules, well, sounds like the lawless west when the fastest gun ruled. Great for TV but no fun in real life

I think that without christianity this world would be a mest up world, more than what is already. Is not the religion that makes this world better, but Jesus Christ does.

More peaceful. Assuming there is a god, we would probably be living closer to what he/she had in mind without all the missinterpretation of "the word". If we were all earthists or humanists we could stop fighting over who is right and who is wrong.

Well considering that the 10 commandments are key to the morals in our society then there would be more liars, murderers, thieves, adulterers, ect. There would be no trust.
Then without Jesus there would be no remission of our sins. We wouldn't ever know true love because that comes from Jesus. He tought us how to love by shedding his blood for us.
