Because they dont see the underlying truth behind a radically left wing socialist group such as PETA that goes out of their way to subvert Christian scripture for their own means. PETA only eject those two people after they were arrested as show. Had they not been arrested and convicted they would not have been thrown under the bus. PETA has also stabbed celebrities in the back who financialy supported them because of disgreeing with them on minor issues. Many Christians are also afraid because PETA can afford expensive lawyers and dont want to be sued for some piddly reason

I would think that any people of goodwill (which would include the religious) would be FOR the ethical treatment of animals. How would religious groups benefit by protesting in FAVOR of fur? I don't see the connection. By the way, those people who killed those shelter animals were ejected by PeTA for breaking the most fundamental rules of the group.

This is not a Christian issue, it is a genaral morality issue.
Of course Christians are against the unecassary killing of any life form, however if you are throwing the commandment " thou shall not kill" out there, that has nothung to do with animals. If you understand Christian teachings you know that it also has nothing to do with capital punishment or war.Everyone should be against the unecassary killing of animals, not just Christians.
