So sorry to hear about your puppy. You should have an autopsy done by your vet to determine the cause of death. Depending on the cause you may want to alert your neighbors and/or whomever was in contact with you dog to make sure their animals don't suffer the same fate.

Poison is likely, but anti-freeze kills a bit slower and attacks the internal organs. Snake bite can be pretty quick and can kill a full grown dog. Ask a vet to look into it for you, it is the only way to know for sure.

This merely got here about to me this morning with a Boxer puppy. 7 weeks previous. Been on merely not straight forward kibble now for for 2 days. i replaced into in a position to deliver her again by ability of appearing the Heimlich and had to do mouth to nostril. i talked about her choking because she replaced into properly choking. i idea she would cough it out yet in decrease than a minute she replaced into on the floor unresponsive. After this she had a brilliant number of frothy foam that replaced into bloody coming from her mouth and nostril alongside with very quickly shallow respiration. my spouse has her on the vet proper this second and that i'm worried as hell. She replaced into in reality lifeless in my hands and that i replaced into in a position to deliver her again. that's going to be worthwhile yet now I difficulty that perchance I damaged her attempting to restore her. merely my 2 cents. pups can choke on any dry kibble. canines can as well. I race harness horses and they choke too. there isn't any longer a lot we are able to do about it. anytime an excellent is going down a pipe there is the potential for blockage. Ask a plumber.

less than 1% of animals are ever poisoned. I would consider distemper, parvo, or another infectious agent too. Did you get your animal vaccinated or checked out by a veterinarian??? I have seen a few animals die of a heavy parasite load too.

If he was outside it could have been a few things. Sounds like he ate, or tried to eat a toad. Should have taken him to a vet to find out incase you get anothet pup. Sorry for your loss.

Parvo is very common amoung puppies and it is also very sudden. You should also know that if you have anyother pets you may want to have them checked and you shouldn't have any yound animals in your home for a while.

he could have been poisoned... but not with antifreeze, antifreeze acts much more slowly, you would have seen him deteriorating for about a week then he would have gone into kidney failure. He may also have vomited and aspirated it back into his lungs, which would cause him to suffocate. sorry to hear about your loss!
