This doesn't make sense to me - Pedialyte is an electrolyte- infused water you give babies to prevent them from suffering bad side effects of dehydration (like heart failure, etc.). It is given when babies are not able to keep anything down due to flu, cold, or more serious problems.
If your baby is not throwing up formula, then he/she doesn't need pedialyte - everything necessary will be in the formula.
On the other hand, if your doctor said pedialyte ONLY, then don't give formula - it is not a "clear fluid" and might start the baby vomitting. Sometimes doctors will recommend pedialyte for a couple of days when babies are not feeling well.

Usually, when you are giving pedialyte, the child cannot stomach formula; dehydration tends to make children vomit as soon as they take something in any quantity, and anything other than the balanced salt/sugar/water mixture of pedialyte tends to trigger it.
Don't try to put pedialyte in the formula, whatever you do.

NO wait...until about 12hrs after feeding pedialyte.. or wait until you know for sure that the diarrhea has slowed down...really slowed down... but only give a bit at a time--- the formula- if baby's belly not ready can cause the diarrhea to continue.
I know the little one is hungry- i've had 3....

A healthy baby does not need Pedialyte. So I'm wondering why your child is on it. If it's b/c he was sick, you may want to re-introduce formula half-strength, esp. if a soy or milk-based formula.
If your baby is otherwise healthy, there is no need to give him Pedialyte. So stop, and save it for vomiting/diarrhea episodes.
