I am sicilian and my fiance is black. We have been together for a really long time and we still get a lot of crap from females, mostly black ones. We will be walkin in the mall and women will look at me and manke faces, i dont get it, one girl said that my man was a sell out cuz he went white, and another asked if the hood was all outta good sistas? I dont understand bc race and color has never been an issue before and now i feel like im always being scrutinized for snagging a "good" black man. How do you ladies feel about it? do you really feel a man is a sell out if hes with a "white" girl. And im not even white im sicilian.

oh sweetie, that sounds rough. not all black women do that. personally, i think they just don't like seeing people dating out of their race.I'm black, and i love ALL races of guys. as long as you're sweet and loving you're fine with me.your guy is very lucky to have a girl like you. Personally as a black women, it really doesn't matter to me if I see a black guy dating or marrying someone of another race. If two people are happy then that's all that matters. Before I was married, I dated white guys, Hispanic and black guys. Color isn't an issue to me. I would get white people and other races looking at me strange but I didn't care (I live in the south). Some people are just jealous, some people are prejudice and some people are just plain out mean. Don't let it get to you, you can always choose to be the bigger person.

It's like this. Black men are expected to be with "women of color" only, whether they're black, hispanic, or African. They call him a sell out cuz black men are supposed to have a certain view, according to certain people. I'm black and I know my father wouldn't want me bringing a white guy home. It can be racism, but it can't either. It's how society is really. If I were to see you two together, I'd be happy cuz I know 2 people found love. It's not fair, after so many civil rights movements, people still aren't tolerant of one another.
And not all black women are gold diggers or whores, alot of us are civilized too. That's stereotypical.

Well it shouldn`t post a problem for the sistas, unless they had em first, and you took em, and that goes for any race, personally I don`t care who or what race a fella gets if they truly love, or at least care for each other it`s their own personal choice,theres no reason for anyone to be rude and jealous, take care of your own unfinished business and leave other male and female relationships alone.However, I had to edit this after I read the sick comments made by hhotc. I think I know where she got her bad info from the crackhouse, hhotc you better get off that stuff!!

Guess what I do when I see a Black man with a white woman? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! I ignore them and go on about my business. I just figure that that Black man was not for me and that God has another one for me. Heavenlyhotc what on earth are you talking about? Surely, you know that white women can be gold digging, conniving, backstabbers as well! I'm a damn good Black woman who has never tried to get money out of a man or dated someone for his "ride". Your comment is insulting to all Black women.

I dont cause im half black and half sicilian. My hubby is black and even though I look more black but light skinned and with some of the sicilian features(hair,eyes etc..) and we still get looks! when it happens hubby will usually grab me or ill grab him and say that there jealous

i am white, but i married a balck man, and i lived in the hood in chicago, so i have investigated this question, and here is the answer....black men are leavin the sistas because they are gold diggin, uncompromising.a white women will work with you , a black girl will dump you for your boy with abetter car. this is not my words, but the words of 50 black men who dont know each other and have no reason to lie,black women are jealous cause they played themselves...dont sweat them , they just want to be in your shoes

It is hard for some women to deal with because of the past and how blacks were treated by whites. They wonder how he could do that. Everyone doesn't feel that way. Feel bad for them to be so ignorant. To most black people you are white.

Absolutely not. I think color and race, even gender, is irrelevant as long as there's a mutual attraction and the two (plus?) people are happy. Nobody else actually counts if that's true.

more power to you and yours but understnd not all AfricanAmerican women dislike this....just the closedminded ones and trust me alot of ppl from all kinds of interracial relationships go through this and worse...so lace up your boot straps and dont worry about ppl.....again not all AA women dislike interracial....Good Luck!
