Atl. is {not} Ga...I live in Columbus, and can {go} to atl easily,if I must.Ga is wonderful.I lived in N>Y> briefly..and had to come back(southern accent caused too much static in High School),but now grown up and still love Ga...(close to beaches,mts,etc,etc,etc..

I just moved back after living in Columbia, SC for three years.
Columbia was alright but Cola was actually hotter in the summer than ATL. I also like that ATL is much more progressive and you will find a lot more culture, more events and activities, and many many more diverse people than SC.
I live outside of Atlanta near Dougalsville but I am a country girl at heart and I don't mind living out away from the city - I can always get there in an hour if I really want to....
There are lots of jobs, some great schools, and people are generally pretty nice around here ( same as SC)

Georgia is hot and muggy. The traffic is horrible in the city, most of the time, but I have lived here all my life and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I live in Forsyth county, Northeast GA, and the schools are great. I have 4 kids; one in middle school, one in elementary, one going to Pre-K, and one in our church pre-school and they are great. The drive is a pretty straight shot south to Atlanta if that is what you are looking for. But I think that anywhere in the metro Atlanta is going to be good. If you are going to be house hunting, go onto any real estate site and do a home search, when you find something that you like, you can find out what the schools are named. Then go onto the Georgia State Education website and do a search on the school's performance.

I would recommend moving to Gwinett County to places like Snellville, Lilburn Lawrenceville or Grayson. Some of the best High Schools are Brookwood, Parkview, South Gwinett and Grayson. I would consider it an excellent place to raise a family. The best jobs are however in Atlanta but there are plenty closer to the Gwinett area. Hope I helped you out.

It depends on what part of Georgia you going to. If you comin to Atlanta, I hope you like black people because we run the city. To tell u the truth anything in Georgia that is outside Atlanta is pretty boring. Just dont go to the TRAP though, which is were i live. Zone 3 for life!

i'm a fifteen 12 months previous residing in Conyers Georgia 20 miles east of Atlanta and existence is reliable right here. Saint Simons island is the position all the rich human beings stay yet i'd stay far off from Atlanta. 285 is a discomfort really on breaks, holidays,or street structure. My Aunt lives in Tucker and that's efficacious very suburban, and my Grandparents stay in lagrange the position that's amazingly open yet nevertheless populated sufficient. maximum folk now attempt to get out of Atlanta. it actually relies upon on what you want. yet in accordance on your specs attempt Duluth or Metro Atlanta, Athens is large yet football video games are painful.

The best ranked school system in the state is in Cobb County. That's also where some of the most sought after real estate is. Cobb is just north of Atlanta. The job market in Atlanta is really increasing right now.

Sure, I live about 1 1/2 hour south of Atl. As far as the best places, it kinda depends on your taste, and what you're looking for.

I lived in both the eastern and western portions on NC for years.
My sister lived in GA for years. On my visits there, I would say that it is definitely more Old South than most of NC (except for the coastal plane), unless you are in the Atlanta area.
