I must assume you use Yahoo and you are attaching files to an e-mail. Open the Compose e-mail. Open in a separate explorer the folder that has the photo. Drag the photo to the e-mail window and drop it on. Check to see if it attached. It will say the name of the file for your photo with a paper clip next to it above the attach file button on the Compose e-mail screen.

Note: if you can't arrange both windows to be seen at the same time, drag the photo down to the task bar and hold it on the Yahoo! mail part of the bar until Yahoo! comes to the front, then keep dragging and drag it to the e-mail.

When you drop it, be sure your cursor has the 'Short cut' look before you drop.

The only way to post a picture in the body of a yahoo email your photos need to be web based or on a site like flickr or photobucket then right click on the picture and copy then right click and paste in your email. This will not work with firefox. Photos that are based on your computer will not copy and paste in most email providers mail.

By using an email client, such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc. However, if you have free Yahoo. You will also have to use a program such as Yahoo Pops to access your email thru these programs, since Yahoo disabled direct access some time ago. The link for Yahoo Pops is below.

If you use Outlook or Outlook Express:
right-click on the file(s) in My Pictures folder (or wherever); Send To, Mail Recipient; address and send.

Try it once and you'll never go back!

First you have to enter a more detailed question, specifically the email program you are using in order to get a detailed answer.
