Hi I'm a Canadian citizen and am interested in working in Australia. Seeing as how Canada and Australia are both part of the commonwealth is it easy or difficult to get a work permit for Australia? I know you can get one for a year or so pretty easily, but I would be interested in living and working in Australia for at least 2+ years.

Hi there,

If you are under 30 you will be able to get a working holiday visa which permits you to stay in Australia initially for 1 year but with the option to extend it if you undertake regional harvesting work.

Another option is to obtain sponsorship from an Australian company.

If you are skilled in a trade or profession you may be eligible for residence.

I am a registered migration agent - if you would like me to assess your eligibility for any of the above visas please don't hesitate to contact me on Jessica.Stooke@Visalogic.net
