Children who die will go to Heaven. Every child born knows God at their first breath. Read John 1.
Also, I believe every ones name is written in the Lamb's book of Life at the foundation. It is written that hell was made for the Devil and His angels. When one isn't taught who God is they are judged according to land laws and conscience. Creation itself reveals who it's Creator is.
The choice to love God or reject God comes when a person hears the salvation message. Upon continual rejection & rebellion of God, a person may get their name blotted out of the Lamb's book of life. Upon Accepting God and His salvation plan through the Lamb of God, one gets Spiritually born and everlasting life.

According to some prominent religions, Catholic, Lutheran, episcopalian they would say yes. That because the infant was not baptized and because of original sin then the baby would go to hell. However, I believe that this teaching is completely false. Our God is a loving God, "not willing that any should perish". The Old Testament did not hold the children accountable until they reached the age of accountability. I believe that his age can very depending on the mental development of the person. Only God knows when a person should be accountable. Definitely by the time he or she is a teen.

Children too young to reason are going to heaven no matter what. Once a child is old enough to understand and learn about Christ and makes a choice to believe as their parents believe I don't think they'll be going to heaven. But none of us knows what transpires between a person and God in the very last moments of life on earth. The ways of God are not our ways. We cannot possibly understand Him.

I can't believe the cushy everyone-is-a-sinner answers here! Come on people, where is your wrathful God?
I never expected it to fall to me to provide the Bible quotes, but it's pretty clear:
"You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments."
That's Exodus 20:4-6, NIV. It's written pretty clearly. Okay, you can say that it specifically condemns the children of idolaters, not of atheists, but the intent seems to be pretty clear: if you don't believe in Me, you're going to hell, and so are your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren... How else can you interpret it?
Don't blame the messenger, folks... Either you believe the Bible or you don't. Either you believe that God is sending all those helpless and blameless children to hell or you believe that the Ten Commandments in the Bible are not the word of God. If you believe that they aren't the word of God, then you aren't Christian.
So if you're a good Christian, you've got to believe in that merciless unfair God you're uncomfortable with...
Can anybody demonstrate why I'm wrong here?
Of course, if you choose to reject it all, then you can have any cushy God-is-love belief system you want. That's an active use of the free will that God supposedly endowed us with.
Make your choice carefully... Christianity? Or a just God?

I think sometimes we lose track what hell was made for. Hell was made when the angels rebelled against God. Hell is the absence of God. God is love. Now ask yourself would a kind loving God put a child in torment with the rebellious angels because he was born in ignorance. Well my God wouldn't. Plus remember people will be surprised who is in heaven. The guy preaching on the corner might not be......

God is just. Why not let Him handle that? There is an age of accountability that we reach. I believe it to be 13 since that is the Hebrew view of when a boy becomes a man--able to read the Torah and comment on it.
My parents never taught me about God. But when I was young, I always talked to Him, even though I did not know Him yet. I always knew He was there--just without a personal walk. When I was 15, the Lord introduced Himself to me personally. Then I found out that I was chosen before I was even born. That is always a mind blower.

Only if the child does not accept God and becomes an atheist, then they'll go to hell. And you don't have to go to church or read the Bible to go to Heaven, you just have to accept God and Jesus as your savior.

there isn't any Hell or fiery position of torment. The be conscious Hell is a translation from the Hebrew be conscious Sheol which merely ability 'the straightforward grave of mankind'. Even Jesus replaced into stated of going to Sheol at his death. and not each body is going to Heaven. A 'little flock', one hundred 44 000 human beings, will be 'offered from the earth' and be a area of Gods Kingdom in heaven. some thing else of honest mankind will earnings from the potential for eternal existence on earth, no longer in assessment to what Adam and Eve initially had. putting forward this, Christians can not guard a 'spot' in the recent heaven or earth in the adventure that they do no longer save on attempting to loyally serve their God. also, actually everyone, at the same time as they attain a particular age are to blame for his or her personal salvation and are answerable to God. no matter if i'd die for my little ones, if I had any, I probable would. to save them from discomfort or suffering and allow them stay longer to study the truth about existence will be my honour.

The child will not be accountable until he/she reaches the age of accountability. And I believe even if the parents are atheists, someone, maybe even the Lord will open their eyes to the truth of Him. I guess I believe in the good of man, I believe and keep praying for all the lost to come to know Him as I do. Little children are a gift from God to be taught right from wrong. "Let the children come to me" the Lord loves children. He loves us all!!!!

Children do not inherit there parents eternal destiny. Everyone chooses for themselves.
I know the next question is what about those children that pass before being able to choose. Well, if a child dies before their age of accountability I believe that they go the heaven.
Atheists have made their choice, their children do not have to pay for their sin. Jesus already paid for all of our sins....we just need to choose to accept his sacrifice as full payment.
