I've been through 2 cheap food processors in 4 years (GE & Hamilton Beach) so now I'm looking to buy a better one.

I need something at least 7 cups (preferably larger) and I'm looking at either Cuisinart or Kitchenaid.

The thing is, they are so EXPENSIVE! Please help me find a deal, either in store on online. Thanks!

I haven't sehlled out the big bucks for a Cuisinart (yet), but my MIL's lasted 20 years, so I dont' think it's a bad investment.

I have a Kitchen Aid (KA) and it is very powerful, fast, and cleans easily. I got it at Lowe's when I had a 20% one item coupon...

I'd suggest Googling KA or Cuisinart FP's, and seeing what prices you get. I'd suggest the biggest bowl one you can get. Amazon also has pretty good prices, tho they may be beat by soem online purveyors nowadays.

Search on Ebay... put the kind you want on a search and watch for it, watch for shipping and make sure to get INSURANCE!!

OH, never buy anything on ebay AS IS .. make sure that you can always return it.. just in case there is a problem and if it says for insurance / not offered, before you bid, e:mail a question asking the seller if you can PAY for INSURANCE.

I am a happy buyer of over 400 items... : )

p.s. I have all Kitchen Aid items.. they will replace anything at anytime.... they have replaced my hand mixer and blender.. it is worth spending the extra $$

Sorry about the lack of specifics on this one but i 'm tired
Kitchen Aid sells re-manufactured processors and stand mixers at those kitchen stores you see in outlet malls- the name of which escapes me. they come with a 6month warranty - as opposed to the year warranty on the new ones- I love my 11 cup professional- great tool
