You should try "Tonkotsu Ramen" in Japan at places such as Jangara Ramen listed in link below. You can find this type of ramen in some Japanese restaraunts in the US too such as Menkui Tei in NYC.
It's nothing like those instant cup noodles. It's delicious.

Try the ramen from an asian market or grab one from the international food section of your grocery store if they have one. They are soooo good! I love the ones made in korea.

It's good if you use my recipe (which I lost at the moment...). Goes something like:
Cooked Ramen noodles
Half package seasoning cooked with (1 lb.?) hamburger
Cooked assorted frozen vegetables

People don't necessarily "like" Ramen, they just buy it because it's so cheap. How could college kids survive without it? As my Brother says, "It's so cheap, it's almost free!"

It's good if you prepare it properly. I like cooking it then mixing it into beaten eggs with some peas, bean sprouts, mushrooms, sweet onions and soy sauce and then fry them in the pan til wonderfully browned and then slice it in quarters and chow!

I have never eaten anything else with such a total lack of flavor and its not very filling either..... but it is cheap!
