I am not going to ask him if he is gay that is a dumb question plus my best friend would kill me if she found out!

I knew someone who was in this situation in high school. This guy was your gay stereotype...dressed very well, was in the musical and colorguard, but he wasn't gay. He seriously wasn't. One of my girls was infatuated with him. We were scared that she might get hurt and we confronted her about it, but she said to let her do what she had to do. That was four years ago. They recently got married :D My advice? Talk to her first. Tell her your concerns that you don't want her to get hurt. If she gets defensive, don't worry about it. You're a good friend for worrying about her well-being.

First of all you can not identify a persons sexual preference by voice. It is possible that this young man has not fully developed and his body can still be going threw changes. If this boy is truly gay, I am guessing that he would decline your friends advances. Even if he is unsure of his preference he may just like hanging out and having a close friendship. I say let your friend ask, she may make a great friend or activity partner. I personally have several gay friends and that are great company.. We snuggle up and watch movies and go out a lot.. It's just like having a boyfriend but with out the sex..

What's the worry? She likes him and, trust me, there are worse things in the world than having your friend liking a nice, sweet, and cute guy. If he is gay and wants her to know --- he will tell her and that will be that. If he's not and he likes her, then your best friend dates a nice, sweet, cute guy.

Let her live her life. Do NOT judge her and do not try to be her mother. Voice your concerns, maybe she will listen maybe she wont. But in life we all have to make our own descisions. Also it should not matter what everyone thinks about this guy, if she likes him and hes responding to her the way she wants, let them be happy. If he is in fact gay, it shouldnt take her long to figure that out on her own.

well...if i knew how old you are...then i might be able to help you more. im 13 so i know enought to answer this Q (i think) :-) ive sort of been in a situation like your friend is in right now. a couple months ago i liked this guy who everyone thought was really mean but he was nice to me so i thought it would be fun to go out with him. but when i actually did, he was being a really big jerk so i dumped him...and now hes still mean to me! anyway...i think your friend should listen to you because i didnt listen to mine and i found out that the were right all along. so...tell your friend what you think and if she listens...thats great!...but if she doesnt...thats okay too because she'll learn to listen to her friends more! ~wink, wink~ i hope i could help! talk to you later!

You can't control someone else's emotions or actions. All you can do is give her your thoughts as her friend, but she has to make her own choices and mistakes.
