Some say we have to have a choice while living, we must have free will, but if we cannot sin in heaven we will not have free will there, so why must we have it on earth?

When I get to heaven, I am going to overthrow that motherf***er and give free will. So if I die first, yes.

To assume we will not have free will in Heaven is to be
ignorant of the Bible. Romans 8;2, The law of the Spirit of life
in Christ Jesus, has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Sin is separation from God. Since we are in His presence at
all times while in Heaven the possibility of sin in Heaven just
does not exist. You only lose your free will when you reject God, and go to hell. You will still be able to think about what you want, but you will be eternally bound, so that you may not act on
your free will, which by the way is a gift from God to all Humans.
Romans 11;29, the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. That means the gift of God of free will, will never
be taken away from you by God.
I Corinthians 13;8a, Love never fails!!!

woooooow..... I never thought of that.... some of these questions on here are so big! I am not sure that we will have an actual "brain" when we get to Heaven, since we are supposed to be souls, right? so if we are souls, we would have no brain, no heart, no lungs, emotions..etc.. no need...

Hence, we would get to Heaven and automatically be doing the "right thing" cause we were in Heaven. IF you were in Hell that would be a different story...

With no brain, there are no choices... and guess what I just thought of? obviously, we have used our free will good enough on Earth to get to Heaven in the first place, so there would be no more need to "prove" ourselves for God's judgement.. right?

We would have "passed the ultimate test!!"

YEY!!!

Your right, you can't sin in heaven, meaning there will be much less free will there. Since god sees all sin as equal, if you do one thing wrong in heaven, no matter what it is, you're going straight to hell just like Satan did. In heaven, you better be 100% perfect!

I don't worry about that though, there is no god, heaven, or hell. It's better to live in reality instead than worrying about what you're not going to do after you die.

No sin exists in heaven so you won't be missing it. You will be FREE of sin in heaven. Hard to comprehend, but will be a glorious thing. You will have already made your choice in heaven and be glad of it. No choices in hell, but longing that you would have made the right one.

Do we have free will now? What is sin? Is it a tresspass against 10 rules for societal living given to a wandering nomad about 5000 yaers ago? What was sin before that moment. God is everlasting, you'd think his rules would have been in place long before Moshe.

Devilbuddah; Lucifer was an Archangel which in Christian Mythos is a distinct creature, different from man.

Satan sinned(rebelled) and he was in HEAVEN, and he was just an Angel, not a Human Being. Angel's are Angelic Spiritual Machinery, they are GOD's Servant's (they are not Human Being's) and they have a somewhat of a free-will. Angel's cannot legally chose the Word's they want to speak. They say what GOD tell's them to say. That's what got satan kicked-out of HEAVEN, he chose to speak his own word's based on pride. YES, you will have a Free-Will in HEAVEN, GOD want's a Family that obey's OUT OF LOVE, not out of being afraid. Do you know what you call a Spiritual Being that can chose to speak his, her own word's????(hang-on) JESUS called us God's(not CREATOR's) just God's. YOU SEE, the CREATOR is a God also, Human Being's are God's too.!!!!!! It just means that you can chose your own Word's to speak, not run around CREATING People(Human Being's) Planet's and Star's etc. Now don't get bent outta shape over this, RELIGION has taught us alot that is not quite right, and some thing's "just wrong". The TRUTH will set you FREE, not put you in some kind of BONDAGE!!!! Thanky-JESUS!!!!!!!!!

Who said we cannot sin in heaven? Satan did, and that's how he became a "fallen angel"...We will still have free will, but most people will probably choose the right way because we will have better understanding of God and His love.

We don't even have so called free will on earth. God gives us choices, but even then, the choice we make is by Gods will. He Didn't even give His Son free will, Jesus lived His life and died on the cross by Gods will. He rose again and lived, by Gods will. Jesus said Himself, that he came to do His Fathers will. Jesus and the Father are one, but He is also true man. Did Jesus fear the cup His Father gave Him to drink?(His crucification). Yes!! Luke 22:44 And being in agony He prayed more earnestly: and His sweat is as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground....and one of the previous verses was Luke 22:42 Jesus saying, Father, if thou be willing , remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.... We are all here by Gods will. We all live and die by Gods will. God knows the end from the beginning, do we? no! We may think we have a will to go this way or that, but God knows the way that we will go. God is the one who made us, and He says Himself, that He makes vessels of honor, and vessels of dishoner. We are the clay, He is the potter.

I guess that having "free will" in heaven would mean you might want to change your mind of the decision you made while on earth. It seems that each person only has one chance to decide where he/she will spend eternity, and that opportunity is in this life.

heaven is the place which we reach based on our performances on earth. that is why we have free will. if we do good we get rewarded; bad and we get punished. that is one of the functions of heaven and hell. and free will is what enables us to make those decisions as to whether or not we will sin. therefore, seemingly no - as there would be no point to it.
