Stayed in Charleston. It is a beautiful city. The old homes are absolutely magnificent. You can take horse drawn carriage rides through downtown and see the sites which is really neat. Lots of history and Mel Gibson's The Patriot was filmed there. Check out the link below.

Yes, both in Charleston and on Kiawah Island, which is about 35-40 minutes outside of Charleston. It is a beautiful area and the history, culture and experience in Charleston is one that tops my list of all-time favorites. They also have beautiful hotels and fabulous restaurants to check out. Kiawah has grown in popularity and has developed more recently but it is a beautiful island that offers great resort experiences and a wonderful beach to enjoy.

myrtle beach, charleston, and clemson, both were pretty cool, i like myrtle beach for the boardwalk and shopping, i LOVE charleston for the historical aspect and the cool stuff to see there, and right outside clemson there are lakes and mountins so camping there was fun
