I recently had a miscarriage a month ago. It lasted 2 weeks, and now, another 2 weeks afterwards I started spotting and bleeding again. Is this my period? How long after a miscarriage do you have a period?

I went to the emergency room, they told me the baby died, I followed up with my gynecologist 3 times and she said my HCG hormone level seemed to be going down so not to worry with a D&C.

I had a miscarriage too and did not have to have a d&c done. My period came the next month when it was due.

Some women are different you may start like when it is due the next month or not. If your period is due then that may be it.

I don't know how far along you were but i was 4-5 weeks but didnt even know i was pregnant when i miscarried.

menstrual cycle
Ovulation can occur 14 days after a miscarriage with the next period 28 days after the miscarriage, but there is great personal variation. It may take a few cycles before your regular pattern is re-established. This means that you can become pregnant 14 days after a miscarriage if you resume a normal cycle immediately, but there is a great personal variation. It can take up to 6 or 7 weeks for your next period to come if you had "natural" miscarriage (i.e. no D&C or tablets).

Good Luck to you and sorry for your loss

Did you go to the doctor? Did you have a DNC done. If you had gone to the ER they would have preformed a DNC, which cleans out the womb. If this is not done then there could be some problems ahead. Go to the doctor and tell him what happened and go from there. Good luck.

It is possible. If you do this again in another 2 weeks or if this lasts more than a week call your doctor immediately. I am so sorry having had one I feel for you. Good luck and God be with you.

It can be a while before they get straightened out. However, did you see the doctor afterward, sometimes a woman who miscarries needs a DNC to completely clean out. If you haven't seen a Dr., consider it! Good luck~
