Yes. The clouds act like a magnifying glass and intensify the sun's harmful rays. This makes exposure to the sun on cloudy days even more harmful than on a bright sunny day.

not nessecarily MORE but almost just as much. 80% of UV rays can come through clouds so if your going to be out there for awhile i suggest using a sunblock. i used to be crazy about getting a tan but after i read about how much damage the sun can do to your skin and skin cancer i started using alot of sunblock. i now use sunlock with a SPF of 45 when im out there for a while and use moisturizer with some sunblock in it everyday. also not only can the sun damage your skin but flourescent lights and very brght lights in a room can do as much damage as the sun. if you like having a tan i suggest using a sunblock with some self tanner in it. that way you stay safe and pretty!

I believe the reason is, is because you don't notice that you are getting burned, because there is no sun, and by the time you realize it, well, you have probable been inside for awhile.....

you underestimate it and you don't put on sunblock..that is how you get nailed...
