Now that the high emotions have worn off from the multiple "Days without Illegal Immigrants", I can't help but think that they irreparably harmed their cause. From the mexican flags to the obnoxious and threatening "Si, se puede" [Yes we can- vote, sneak in, gain amnesty] to the "new" anthem in Spanish, it was nothing but mis-steps.

The result is that the plan to strengthen border security is stronger than ever. Towns like Hazelton are passing ordnances to rid themselves of illegals and antipathy toward illegals is at an all time high.

Illegal immigration always existed, but before it was tolerated because we saw illegals come here and work hard, learn English and assimilate. The greatest harm to the illegals' cause came from themselves, when they came here and tried to turn pockets of each city into Mexico and they started demanding rights that they had not earned.

The border is about to be shut down. In ten years, I think illegal immigration will be 20% of what it was last year.

Umm, seriously how many Irish immigrants marched in the Day without Immigrants demonstrations. Don't try to deflect the issue.

I'm not sure if they learned from it, but they have gotten a lot quieter. I guess there's a general feeling that they did not get the response they wanted.

I almost wonder if some anti-illegal forces secretly encouraged pro-illegal groups to do these protests, knowing they would backfire. It reminds me of how Michael Moore helped lose the election for the Democrats.

You are right. It is all of the things you have mentioned and more. It is one colossal mis calculation after the next. America has definitely stepped up it's tone on illegals, and it's not really the government, it's the American people. The fact that these illegals tried to demand something that they have not earned is just outrageous. If the demonstrations were a bid to ask the Americans for help to rid Mexico of the corruption and strangle hold the drug families have on the economy then i think they would be in business. Instead, they march on American cities demanding rights and free passage while flying a foreign nations flag. Really, really bad judgment.

I agree and am glad with all you say, but the fight has just started.

Let me put this in perpsective really quick.

With Mexico, it's the will of one nation being forced on another, the USA of all places. This is not immigration, this is deliberate and orchestrated colonization to take land back to Mexico and solve Mexico's social problems by putting their citizens at risk and charging us with the bill and pulling on our heart strings to do it. WE WILL NEVER SUSPEND OUR CONSTITUTION BY THE WILL OF ANY OTHER NATION. THIS IS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

There is alot more work to do. If you want sources, I have them, but don't be overwhelmed when you see how many. I tell you this because people don't want as much information as I have, and it's still growing. DON'T give up the fight too early or they'll just start all over again, this time smarter and more in force than ever before. Atzlan and La Reconquista will never rise.

As far as the raids, I am glad, but remember, it's only felons or supposed to be. When I see it in my community and state, then I will believe that we will make a difference.

Funny you should mention Irish. The NYC Irishmen had once tried to colonize for Ireland, but it didn't suceed, and neither will Mexico.

Trivia: Does anyone know the only successful colonization in America since it's inception and within it's jurisdiction and outside the laws of the United States by law?

Wrong. It is the Amish.

The Cubans also tried and weren't successful, and the Mormons tried to take over the state by stuffing votes and such, by they weren't successful and many went to jail. I saw that one on TV, so I don't have a source.

But do not believe the fight is over, or anything other than begining, when I walk into my local voter's registration office, and they demand I prove that I am a citizen, we won; when American citizens retake their rights from illegals, we won; when Congress starts representing America and not Mexico, we won; when America bases it's immigration policy on need and only after no American can be hired, we won. When our side of the border stays where it is and is sovereign again without the will of Mexico, we won. When it is a felony to illegally enter, and anchor babies are not put to suffer citizenship for thier families to abuse a system and aren't citizens without having American parents, we won.

That's the short list. No time to rest, keep up the good fight.

The spanish athem had nothing to do with the current situation but did have to do with the illegals that are here. I will not say that it was right because it did change the words to the original athem and I did feel that that was disrespectful to the original songwriter of the anthem. But, the things they did was to get recognized which they did. But, you did not talk about all illegal immagrants. You just focused on the ones from Mexico which many people do do which makes them seem that they do not know their facts. The day without immagrants on May 1st was made for all immagrants. There were irish, chinese, and many others that also participated. The things they did not work against them as much as for them. These things showed congress that there is more immagrants out there then they thought.

I think it woke up a lot of people who never gave it a thought before especially the people in the northern part of the U.S. where they haven't yet experienced the huge invasion.
They will one day.
