In order to have a loving relationship, the feelings have to be mutual. You both have to respect and love each other.

Just because all she said was "Thank you". It doesn't mean she didn't appreciate the song. She could have just been caught off guard and didn't know how to react.

The biggest mistake that guys make is that when the woman does not respond in the way that we want her to respond we give up and decide that she isnt worth the trouble. But it is very well worth it. You didn't get the response that you wanted but you certainly gained a position in her mind. And trust me, she has probably told all of her friends.

When dating and getting to know someone it is very important guard your heart. Many times when we like someone we tend to build up too many expectations of how we think the other person ought to feel about us. This often leads to hurt and frustration because we expect the other person to jump over the table in extreme gratification when they just simply thought it was a nice thing to do.

But rest assured that even though she didn't do backflips, she will remember. She will think about that for a long time until she decides that she was very happy and appriciative that you did that. This is your opportunity to continue to keep doing nice things for her and over time you will win her over.

Sounds like a respect issue and maybe she has taken a few things for granted. I did that a lot in one relationship and when I tapered it off, she missed it and started to respond back. Kind of like some marriages, once they got you, they stop trying unless they fear they will loose you. You still have a chance.
