I've had dogs my whole life (I'm 45), the best thing to do is get to the vet, They have much more powerful products than over the counter "Front line", the vet flea spray is great, you just apply a few sprays on the dog once and, ALL FLEA'S FALL OFF THE DOG IMMEDIATLY (powerful stuff). The dog needs an exam for ticks, a much bigger problem than fleas, after the vet, give him a "chewy", a pat on the head, scratch on the rear, tell your little "Doggle" that you love him/her !

Definately get some Frontline Plus. It works great.
If you can't go to your vet, go to the PetSmart Vet nearby ~ they will help you out. Just tell them that you have a flea outbreak at home and your dogs needs to be cured.

Since she is still so young, you may not want to use harsh chemicals found in shampoos and flea meds. You can use Avon Skin-so-Soft bath oil. Just rub a little into her fur and the fleas will drop off in a few days. Plus it smells good too.

Buy a flea collar and wait for the vet to return.
Have the dog "dipped" in a flea killer solution
and get the dog "fixed" while you're there!

bath the dog in dawn (dish soap) and water everyday for a week then get flea med for puppies. The dawn smothers the fleas. Thats what my vet told me to do - It worked

Get Frontline Topspot...works great. Don't be fooled by flea colors, or the cheap imitations of Frontline.
You will likely need a prescription from your vet though, so you will need to wait on him anyway.

There are several topical flea control products on the market today. Advantage, Advantix, and Frontline are all available from your veterinarian. I personally prefer the Frontline brand as it does not wash off as easily as the other two products. See you veterinarian if you need more information.
