Lots and Lots of Math!!! By the time your head pokes up above your math books, you and your advisor will have figured out your course plan!

Good Luck!!!

For engineering, I would suggest mathmatics, especially geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus at the very least. Calculus would be idea. Drafting, either manual or CAD (computer aided design) would be a plus. Physics (which will help with calculus, since physics is the application of the mathmatics).

For a culinary arts career, you're not going to find much in HS to apply, other than Home Ec/Home Arts. Basic math like algebra will help with recipe conversions, etc.

Your local ROP may have classes to help you prepare in both directions. Also, see if your HS offers HS credit for college courses. Some schools allow you to leave campus to attend college courses *if* the school does not offer a class sufficient to your needs.

I am not sure how important high school credits are if you want to be something that requires college or technical/professional training..

And if this is no joke, then you need to seek not only the guidance of the counselor at your school, but also the guidance of an advisor at the school you intend to attend!!

I can't tell you enough how you must double check and double check what classes you need. And once you find out, you better check again, the next semester and the next and the next...

Lots of math-algebra calculus. Most work is not fun. But do what you love.

You need to talk to a counselor at a college or your high school counselor.
