Try the drug amosan it is an over the counter oral rinse for canker sores and other oral inflamations. I swear by the stuff. It is quite expensive about 10 dollars for about 20 packets. All you do is dissolve the powder in some warm water and swish it around in your mouth for about 30 seconds.

You can try sucking on a cold tea bag ~ that is suppose to help and my Gramma swears by it.

You can wet your finger and then put some baking soda on it and place the baking soda on your canker sore. It burns, but helps it from getting larger and clears up in a couple of days.

I have tried the baking soda trick and it really works, I just can't bring myself to try the tea bag trick though.

Yes you can. I put salt right on mine and it cleared up in about 2 days! I dumped salt into my mouth from a restaurant and it did burn for a bit, but then it feels pretty good. I did that and used mouthwash and gargled with saltwater. Hope this helps

Yes it is OK...it will hurt very much badly, but afterwards it will feel sooo good, either because it helped or because you stopped the torture, lol. Either way, less pain is better, right? (PS I always do that when I get canker sores, which thank God I rarely do anymore.)

You have a lack of L-lysine. It comes in caplet form. Start taking it and your canker sores will back off.

try an aspirin, the acid will burn for a short time, but the pain will go away after that.

Put it right on there; it will hurt for a few seconds, but it does work.
