I know you do not want to hear this but two feet is a lot of hair and you really should get a haircut. If for no other reason than to get the dry split ends off. This does not mean go short, but long hair is only beautiful when it is healthy.
After your trim Use products for curly hair. I like Matrix Curl Life. The shampoos are gentle and the conditioner is moisture rich without being heavy or greasy. Also instead of mousse use a curl creme. This not only defines the waves, and cuts frizz but also has a leave in conditioner in it. This is excellent for curly hair because it is naturally dry and if the hair is long ( like yours and mine) it really helps prevent those dry ends from getting worse.

I'm a curly haired girl as well, I use redken products. First off whenever you shower always use conditioner, and after you get out, don't towel dry your hair, try to keep it somewhat damp for when you brush it. When brushing use a wide-toothed comb and use a leave in conditioner too, I really like TiGi's Bed Head product called Ego Boost. After that I use Redken Hardware, # 16 it's a really thick gel so you don't have to use a whole lot. After putting that through I usually dry my hair, flipped upside down with a diffuser on the dryer, this gives it a natural look, and keeps it from looking wet all the time and getting "crunchy." Hope this helps, it's been my mix for a few yrs now and I get tons of compliments all the time on my hair.

bouncy creme by Iso. Have to get it a salon or professional beauty supply. I have naturally curly hair and can't live without the stuff. It's like a leave in conditioner, u just have to play with it to get your right amount, work it thru wet hair, then kind of scrunch excess wetness out of your hair with a towel. Let it air dry. Even with a diffuser, you'll get frizz. know how ya feel, though. good luck

Stiffness depends on the product. For example, I use both Aussie and Finesse mousses. Finesse is getting harder to find, but it leaves hair silky while still controlling it.
My sister uses the special curls shampoo/conditioner line from Pantene ProV and says it really works for her. She has also tried John Frieda FrizzEase and that works wonders, but it's on the expensive side.

Pantene has a great line for curly hair.
It leaves your hair soft and fluffy. (not too fluffy).
Be careful to switch the shampoo every other bottle becuase it does tend to leave a residue. Use the conditioner though and the other styling products.
I've used it for years and after trying every product under the sun, its still the best store brand.
Redken also has a good line for curly hair. I forgot the name of the line but it comes in the gold color bottle.

you can use oil or an hair relaxer with your hair. I also used to own such a frizzy locks but when I learned this trick I never had to problem it ever again.
Try not to comb or brush your hair while its wet. Let it airdry or you can use a blower with cool air to dry it. Just comb it when it is already dry. Then add a hair relaxer or a small amount of baby oil and lather it on you hair. There you'll have it. a manageable and sexy waves.
Good Luck!

I use Loreal Anti Frizz serum, it's a little oily, but works great to control frizzy hair that has a mind of its own. Especially in humid weather.

I use Pantene Pro-V lightweight conditioning foam, it's a leave in conditioner. Works a little bit but I also have a hard time finding something that works really good.

I use Infusium, it's a spray but not a hair spray. There are many similar products, take some time and look them all over at the drug store.

The ABSOLUTE BEST thing is Infusium 23 Leave-In Treatment. It is like water and you can't feel that anything is even in your hair. It really tames the frizz. You'll LOVE it!!
