No, the only "fool-proof" birth control method is abstinence, but birth control pills are about 99% effective if used correctly. Make sure to take your pill at the same time every day. If you miss even ONE pill, that can cause you to become pregnant, so you will need a back up for that MONTH (such as condoms). Doctors usually tell you to "double up" that way if one method fails, then you have something to back you up. Such as the pill and condoms or condoms and spermicide or a diaphram and the sponge, etc. Just be responsible and safe and you should be fine.

No guarantees. All birth control has an effectiveness rating, and no form (other than abstinence) is 100% effective.
Assuming you're talking about the pill, it has an effectiveness rating of 92% to 99.7% effective, depending on how regular and consistent you are in taking it.
Check out the link for comparative failure rates of different forms of birth control.

I know way too many girls who have become pregnant just using the pill. There are not guarantees with any birth control unless you double up.

There are no guarantees in sex or in life. You are 99% protected if you take your birth control as directed. Only sure methods of not getting pregnant are abstinence or pan hysterectomy.

there is no guarantee, but if taken CORRECTLY, the failure rate is less than one percent. so take your pill the same time every day, and if you take any other medications be sure to ask your doc or pharmacist if they interact.
also... why the unprotected sex? unless you are in a steady manogamous relationship, it's not just pregnancy you're trying to prevent...

None of them are 100% effective, and many lose effectiveness under certain circumstances (such as using antibiotics) Not only that, none of them protect against STD's and you have a much higher likelihood of catching one.
Sex is for marriage because the ultimate intimacy deserves the ultimate committment.
