23 Years ago i migrated to the us then i went back to mexico so i whant to know if my social security is still valid

Yes, and the benefit will be that he is allowed to get a job when he's older, you can't work without a SS number. Also you get Social Security Insurance if you become disabled or when you retire. So you collect "free" money.

Call the Social Security office in your town and explain what happened. You have a SSN that you got while you were here? It should still be valid. Good luck!

It probably is, Social security numbers do not expire. Contact your local social security office to see about getting a new card.

Go to the Social Security Administration office and ask them to trace your old social security number. It is not supposed to be issued to another person, so I see no reason why the SSA won't be able to help you.

It is, just go to the Social Security office with your ID, you will get a replacement copy. Had to do that myself in the 90s.

Provided you got your number legally (didn't buy it from some sleeze) then yes it is still good. Go to your local office with ID, your visa, etc and talk to the experts.

They do not reassign them. You are probably still in the records with that number.
