Joan of Arc was in illiterate farm girl who claimed to hear the voices of Saint Michael, Saint Catherine, and Saint Margaret. These voices told her to save France from the English siege. She seemed to have psychic abilities. Does history support this or is it only a religious myth to back up religion? How did this young illiterate girl persuade grown men to follow her into battle ?
I read about this in Divine Interventions by Dan Millman and Doug Childers.

So far as I know, the story is true. But, of course, I wasn't there.

OK, I'm not sure if the french had donuts at that time or not, but I don't think God asked Joan of Arc to give him a donut, since there is no hunger in Heaven, and God could create whatever he wanted...I'd say it was probably just a myth...but thats just my guess :)

I believe Joan of Arc thought she was divinely inspired. Maybe it just shows what someone with gumption, strong beliefs and confidence can accomplish, whether The Saints spoke to her or not. Either way, it makes for a good story.

that's the same question i kept asking...
1. if she wasn't send by god, how can she defeat the english?
2. if god send her, why was she betrayed by the french?
3. if god send her, why was she repeatedly raped by the english during her imprisonment?
4. then 100years later, she became a saint...
what gives....?

the story is true, and she was crazy, and people were crazier than her. People wanted to listen to her words because they hated the English.
And God loves the French.
