depends what I'm cooking...fish in beer batter (2 for the cook) and coquille St Jacques with white wine ( the cook gets to finish the bottle of wine)

Wine is slightly healthier for you, but then again, like a previous poster noted, there's always the issue of moderation. Beer provides a lot of calories, but little nutrients. Antioxidants present in wine can be very beneficial, although the alcohol is a negative.

I feel Wine would be the best if the kind of party you are hosting is a calm and professional one if not for a fun filled party its always bear. Better try to avoid Fish or any sea food if you are having beer it does not go well neither is it good for your stomach.

Wine. I especially like a really good sparkling wine. I like red and white wine. I just depends on the type of food you eat.

It all depends on you. You are going to have to try both in order to find out for yourself. For wines, try McManis, Hahn, or Penfolds. They are all reasonably priced and there's not a bad one in the bunch. For beer, try Pete's strawberry blonde, Sweetwater (any of 'em), or Brooklyn beers. Good luck!
