Be cool. Take your time. Don't tip your hand or you may spill the beans. It will be about a thirty-minute conversation. Make it seem like he started the conversation. Have it be about most anything. When it gets to his friends or anything related...s l o w l y steer the conversation around to something more specific. All the better if you know something about the friend's interests: steer the conversation to that subject and then maybe your brother will mention the friend.
When your brother mentions the friend, you may be tempted to jump in and say something about inviting him. Take your time, keep the faith or you may lose your cool.
Think of the reasons your brother may choose to invite any of his friends to do something. Then manipulate the conversation so that he is presented with one of HIS reasons for inviting the friend. Then he will do it. Perhaps not immediately, but it will happen.

You don't get your brother to invite him, ask him yourself their is no better way of letting him know that you are in to him. When and if he excepts the invitation, it's a sure sign he is into you too. Chances are your brother already knows you like him, his instinct will be to protect you, trust me I had four big brothers, and dating was hell.
