CD burners do not crash. If you don't know the proper terminology, don't use words like "crash". Try explaining the whole situation with common words.

Sorry, I don't understand the question. The CD Burner is the machine like a CD player that can also make new disks. It uses a hot laser beam to heat the disks and that is how the data is put on the disk. It is only heated but not burned. but people like to say 'burner' anyway.
If that machines does not work, you have to take it in to the computer repair shop and have it fixed or replaced.
The application that can tell the CD Burner what to do, what to burn onto the disk, is on your computer. If it has stopped working, first check the connections and be sure that everything is plugged in. Check the fuse on the CD Burner as well if the light doesn't go on on the burner if it has a light or if you can not hear its fan or spindle rotating when you power it up. If it still doesn't work, reinstall the application.
If you have updated your system, you may have to update the driver for the CD Burner as well. Check the manufacturer's site for that.
If the application crashes your computer when you try to use it, and you have not updated your system, then reinstall the application. You probably should uninstall the application first if an uninstaller was included, or using the system tools.
If the CD Burner is not making readable disks, it may need cleaning. You can try to do it with a CD Cleaning Disk that you can get at a computer store. This may do more harm than good, so talk to the computer technician about it first to be sure that it is the right cleaner for your machine. Maybe it would be better to have them do it, then if something goes wrong they will have to fix it.
Good luck
;-D
