Legally, a parent CANNOT force a minor to take birth control. However, teens who are usually too dumb to be responsible about their sexuality are also too dumb to be aware of their rights. No adult can force a minor to take birth control, undergo an abortion, or undergo a pelvic exam.
In some cases, the minor can claim assault against the parent. Especially if the assault involved an abortion or pelvic exam.
Otherwise, if the minor is not aware of his/her rights as a person, s/he just submits to their parents' threats.

Yes. It's been done a lot. Back when I was in high school, I knew many girls who's parents forced them to use birth control.
