I agree,it is wrong,the statue can't answer your prayers.I think people want to pray to something they can see and touch not realizing that it has no power to answer them.

Because people do a LOT of things that the Bible says is wrong! We are not supposed to murder, but look what horrible things have been done in the name of Jesus Christ. People twist and spin and justify doing just about anything even when their belief system does condemn it!
