Charities, eh? Funny, he has been the richest man for many years, but until only the last couple of years did he ever contribute a cent to charity, as I understand it. A lot of people harassed him about this, about what an irresponsible citizen he was. Getting married also helped him.

Bill Gates really never invented anything. He stole DOS from IBM; stole graphical user interface (GUI) from Apple; stole his word processer from WordPerfect, Excel from QuattroPro, PowerPoint from WordPerfect Presentations; Outlook from GroupWise, and this list goes on and on. He has illegally quashed his competitors, then laughed after they were bankrupt and he had to pay what to him was a meaningless fine. His products really aren't very good, not near as good, efficient and productive as the ones he quashed. I think he has been a wicked man.

I hope he turns around and does something meaningful with his wealth and actually helps the poor. I hope he isn't only interested in making his own name. Doesn't have a very good reputation so far, though.

I think the world's richest manis doing the most honorable services for humanity by stepping down. He's trying to focus on his foundation. He's an exemplary figure and he's nothing but a gift to humanity. I think he's imprinitg his name on the gold tablet which would never be erased throughout our lifetime. He had done enough already with microsoft which had changed our UNIVERSE as a whole and now he's concentrating on charities. I think other rich people need to take a cue from Mr Gates and try to make the world a better place .When it's all said and done, when it's all over it's guaranteed that MrGates name would forever live in our memories and our world. Even if our hard drives(brains) are erased , he had succeeded in showing humankind that the greatest gift of all is LOVE..

Well, I think that it's great that he and his wife are focusing more of their personal time on their charitable organization. With as much money and power as that man holds, there are others who desperately need his help, and his company is not that right now.
