bake-
oven @ 325* for 2 plus hrs. until internal temp reads approx. 170...

really roast -

oven @ 400*to 425* for 40 to 60 mins. (approx. 15 mins. per lb. ) intern temp - 170* - delicious /nutty very moist inside.

both -

salt & pepper inside cavity and outside skin toss a few cloves of garlic in cavity and rub skin with butter/ oil mixture.

Invest in a meat thermometer. I love mine, got it at W-S and it beeps when 10º below desired temp, to allow for carry-over-cooking while the roast is resting. You'll have perfect meat using a meat thermometer.

I put in 350 oven for about 40 ish min. uncovered
