Never use these translation websites, they will just translate your text word for word If you type in a complete sentence or paragraph. it will not be comprehensible- its just like using a dictionary and having no grammatical order. It will look ridiculous.
I am a translator my languages include German. If you have any questions you can ask me, or your better off asking a German speaker. If you want to impress her.
Otherwise, im sure she understands English, most Germans do.
Good luck

Those who have advised you not to use an online translation site are quite right as they do a 'literal' word-for-word translation & it usually ends up with loads of grammatical errors.
You're best option is to find out if your lady understands english & if so, use it.
If not, like the one other answer says, post what you want to say on here & ask for a human translation - I for one, would be happy to do that for you.

Going to freetranslations.com or whatever crappy site that is will not help you -- the translations purposefully contain mistakes to suggest that you pay for it to get a more percise translation.
It's been said before but I'll say it again.... http://babelfish.altavista.com/ is the place to go!!
Then again, most Germans normally speak English anyway (since they learn it at school) so why you'd need to or want to speak to her in German I don't know.

Online translators will spit out garbled language, though it might be comprehensible. (To get an idea, find a foreign-language website and try using Babelfish to translate into English)
Many German people speak English, you know. If your woman doesn't, you could always post your English here and someone will probably translate it for you.
