That depends on why your having the clots
Have you recently had a baby? If so you cannot use tampons until after your six week check-up because the cervix can remain dilated for quite some time and a tampon could get "lost."
If you haven't recently given birth and you just have a really heavy period, then yes you can use tampons. Make sure that you are using the proper absorbancy to prevent toxic shock syndrome.

you can,but should you?Na.nope. no no.not a good idea.My personal oppinion on tampons is you should use them as less as possible. Its called a flow,a natural flow. Not a plugup. It is a cleansing prosses.Designed by the creator.Did you know that in most American Indian tribes the women who were on thier cycles would go to the river for a little spa get away,no chores or duties,or children to run after.A cleansing, personal, pampering.A time of refreshing.I only use tampons if im going heavy but want to swimm or something,a once in awhile thing.Maybe thats why your having blood clots.Go see a gyno.Yea i know the odor of using a pad is hightened compaired to tampon, but if you change regularly and use a deoderent spray once in awhile.I know they feel like diapers swishing between our legs, but again what is your priority-----your health or not.So you gotta be a little more hygenic during your time,so you feel people can see it(they realy cant unless it a huge one)and those are for night time anys.you can do it!

definite its wonderful. The clotted blood is prolly merely the oldest layer of blood on your uterus so it began to clot. I do a similar element and thats what my medical specialist stated. reliable success!

Well, yes...but the clots probably won't come out...so you could get all that crap backed up and end up with problems. They should come out when you change it and go pee.
